Full Moon Madness

Mad bungee jumpers recently threw themselves off the bridge (but had strings attached!) – into a dark void – in the name of charity (to raise money for abandoned babies in an orphanage as well as assisting more than 70 local children from Chinotimba school with school fees and clothing – and towards a new library)

Train and Tram

Shearwater in partnership with the Victoria Falls Steam Train Company has launched two brand new products - the Victoria Falls Tram Morning Bridge Tour and the Victoria Falls Tram & Bridge Champagne Sunset Tour. Steeped in history, the Victoria Falls Tram Bridge Tours are a unique journey into the adventure and romance of a bygone age. Both morning and sunset tours begin with a stroll down the red carpet path which links the iconic, 108-year old Victoria Falls Hotel to the train platform at Victoria Falls Station. After refreshments, the 19th century-style tram begins its gentle, twenty minute meander through the vibrant town of Victoria Falls, looping through classic African bush often habituated by wildlife and passing the Victoria Falls Rainforest. Its final destination is right in the middle of the Victoria Falls Bridge which straddles the line dividing Zimbabwe and Zambia.

The skies are a-buzz with flights coming in and going out in all directions.  There was much excitement when Emirates launched their flights into and out of Harare from multiple routes, and in October, KLM followed suite and launched their flights – which has really opened up the skies into and out of Zimbabwe.  LAM is flying from Zimbabwe to Mozambique – creating a great “bush and beach” option.  Air Namibia carries passengers to and from Zimbabwe and Namibia, as does Air Botswana – with a flight between Maun and Victoria Falls.  And there are more options on the horizon as other airlines look to coming into Zimbabwe.
